Well over the past week I have had some pleasant surprises, firstly was yet another Birthday party invite at least I have over a month to prepare for this one instead of the usual week or two. I had my Council HRA number through finally after a year of pestering them for it and surprisingly I am in the Silver band for the applications, so give it around a year I should have my own place in which I will have Laminate flooring and it will be done properly and not the foolish rush job that was done in my ex-partners which was advised against by a close friend.
I was thinking of having some pets of my own and if you have read any of my past blogs You will know that thanks to Wendy I have a love of Guinea Pigs. Now before anybody states anything stupid, I am a very capable and indipendant individual and I am sure that I will look after my cavies quite well. A lot of the atmosphere in the flats I cohabited with the Wendy was not entirely either of our faults on an individual basis but we were collectively responsible, my part was from having someone constantly up my arse because they had little to no capacity to trust; this problem of having someone constantly there all the time just pisses me off especially if they have all of the freedom to come and go as they wish and have all the equipment they need to control what ever condition they may have. I am toying with having a proper house warming party once I have finished redecorating and getting everything else sorted and I will invite Wendy and Becky.
another pleasant surprise was having a plain white parcel thrown my way Friday after taking the dog for a walk, I opened it to find a copy of H.P. Lovecraft's The Call of Cthulhu and Other weird stories. Of course the comment of "I bought Luke a present so I may as well buy you one." does little to endear me to the fat slob but it has at least helped me to rediscover my love of reading, my love of books took something of a hiatus after my break up as it was the only thing I was allowed to do other than house work and well that only put me off the activity. I have to admit that the language was something to get used to but all I had to do was remind myself of when the stories were originally published (between 1916 and 1939 or there about) and that in the intervening years English language has mutated into what we use now.
Well I'm going to have to call it a day as my eyes are telling me to stop looking at the monitor and get some sleep Hopefully my poi spinning manual should be here soon and I can get back to beating myself with poi, I wish you all every happiness and love in your respective lives.
Steven
